Eventbrite - Benefit Breakfast 2012

Join us at our signature fundraiser!

SEA invites you to join us and other business leaders in our community who are dedicated to providing access to higher education to people working to overcome poverty and adversity at our Annual Benefit Breakfast. This is our signature fundraiser in support of our scholarships and programs. We seat a current student in our program at every table.

Keynote and Emcee: To be announced.

Why Our Program Matters

Poverty and homelessness profoundly limit the lives of thousands of young people in King County. Seattle Education Access assists marginalized youth and young adults in gaining entry into colleges and completing degrees. We provide them with the resources they need to transition successfully to college, so that they can finish their educations, leave poverty behind, and contribute to society.

Our students face significant barriers to college success: lack of housing, family support, money for tuition, books and food, and mentors and tutors whom they can trust. They also suffer from low societal expectations and support. By removing these barriers, we open up the world of academic and career opportunities to our young students — the same opportunities that are available to youth from wealthier families.

Be A table captain

A Table Captain is a volunteer who offers to host a table at the event, and fill those seats with their friends, family, and colleagues.

Table Captains reach out to individuals in the community and introduce them to First Place and the services we provide to families.   When guests come to the Breakfast, they have a chance to interact with other caring community members, gain a more intimate understanding of our work, and have the opportunity to financially support the organization.  After the event, First Place follows up with guests and invites them to tour our building and to volunteer with the children.

A table holds 10 guests and SEA will offer to fill 1 seat with a current student. Your duties will be to fill 8 seats at the table. SEA offers.
