Sean McGilloway is our President. Sean is a consultant with ISOutsource.com. He has worked for over eight years in the legal industry, focused primarily in small- to mid-size businesses. He consults small businesses with their technology decisions based on over 10 years of technology-related experience. Sean was educated at the University of Washington where he earned his undergraduate degree in business administration. Sean recently finished a two year board membership with the Association of Legal Administrators (ALA) as the technology Committee co-chair. He continues as an active participant in the ALA writing articles and coordinating technology-related meetings. 

Erin Cline is our Secretary. Erin is Senior Civil Litigation Paralegal at the Law Offices of Ressler & Tesh located in downtown Seattle. She specializes in complex litigation against the State of Washington for failure to do proper background checks on foster and adoptive parents who then victimize children. Erin spent a number of years as a foster child and brings to SEA her passion for foster care reform. Erin firmly believes in second chances and looks forward to assisting SEA in their efforts to support disadvantaged children and young adults. 

Greg Ernst is our Treasurer. Greg is the Director of Finance for Free & Clear, Inc.  He began his career as a financial analyst with the Investment Banking firm Morgan Stanley Dean Witter.  For the past 10 years Greg has served as a financial manager for a variety of Biotechnology and other health care related companies both public and private.   Greg holds a B.A. in Business Administration and a minor in Economics from the University of Washington.  He also works as a volunteer firefighter with East Side Fire & Rescue.   

Kirk Adams is President of the Seattle Lighthouse for the Blind, a $37,500,000 a year social enterprise employing 190 people who are blind and Deaf-Blind. He holds a Bachelors degree in Economics from Whitman College and a Master's degree in Not-For-Profit Leadership from Seattle University. His affiliations include CityClub, the Executive Alliance, Greater Spokane Inc., the Seattle and Rainier Chambers of Commerce and downtown Seattle Rotary. Kirk says, "Our clearly focused mission, commitment to best practices, and above all the incalculable impact on young people's lives make Seattle Education Access a truly exciting organization to be involved with." 

Katie Auker is the Director of Admissions and Community Relations at Soundview School. She has a Masters degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Washington, and a B.A. in Speech Communications from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. Previously, she managed several programs as a Center Director at SCORE! Educational Centers in California, coached Women’s Varsity basketball, taught, tutored, and worked as a development assistant at a private school. Her graduate work focused on school reform and the closing of the achievement gap. Katie also volunteers with Seattle Parks and Recreation going on outdoor adventures with urban youth. Katie also chairs SEA’s Scholarship Review Committee.

Anttimo Bennett is a senior at the University of Washington pursuing his B.A. in Social Welfare focusing on Clinical Social Work and American Ethnic Studies focusing on African American Studies with a minor of Diversity. He is also the student body president at the University of Washington.  Anttimo is a former student of Seattle Education Access and attributes the success he has achieved to the help and support he received from SEA. He is also the president of his fraternity Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Upon graduation, Anttimo plans on pursuing a dual Masters degree at Baylor University in Social Welfare and Divinity.

Jaunita Flessas is a student at Seattle Central Community College. She plans on becoming a lawyer and her interests include social justice, political science, and international studies.  

Ana Cristina Gonzalez is a Planner and Economic Analyst with the Workforce Development Council of Seattle-King County. She has a Master’s degree in Economics from Washington State University. Her volunteer experience includes work with Big Brothers Big Sisters, Boy Scouts of America, and two student organizations at WSU: The University Awareness of Cultural Togetherness, and the Hispanic Business Student Association.  

Amy Koehl is Program Manager in the Employee & Community Services Department at Seattle Lighthouse for the Blind. She currently manages four programs, including two that provide computer skills training, one independent living skills training, and job coaching support.  These programs provide opportunities for independence in the workplace and home environments for blind and Deaf-Blind people. Amy completed her Masters of Not-For-Profit Leadership at Seattle University and also holds a B.A. in Psychology from Indiana University. She is an American Sign Language user and reads Braille by sight. She supports the Deaf-Blind community through her involvement in Deaf-Blind Community Classes and Seabeck Retreat. 

Ari Kohn is President and co-founder of the Post-Prison Education Program, a Washington non-profit which helps formerly imprisoned men and women break free from intergenerational cycles of poverty and imprisonment via post-secondary education.  He holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Washington and is heavily involved with the Washington State Legislature in efforts to block ill-advised legislation and to advance legislation that would bring about increased social justice.  During the last three years, he has been particularly focused on transitional housing and identifying and helping the 96,600+ Washington children whose parents are in prison or on "probation." His affiliations include Big Brothers Big Sisters of King, Pierce & Jefferson counties and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training. 

Irena Netik is a Senior Energy Supply Operations Analyst at Puget Sound Energy. For the past two years Irena has chaired the 2006 PSE United Way Employee Giving campaigns,  building a professional foundation for the $300,000 campaign that resulted in a 20% donor participation increase. Under her leadership, the campaign was awarded the United Way of King County’s Spirit of Puget Sound and Leadership Giving Awards. She has a B.A.Sc. in Civil Engineering from the University of British Columbia. Irena also volunteers as a mentor at the Seattle Girls School, and competes in Ironman championships. 

Kathleen Porch manages operations and fundraising for Seattle Milk Fund, a 101 year old volunteer based children and family support.  Over the last two years she has managed their budget as it has grown by nearly 80%, in part due to her grant writing success. Kathleen is a product of a very low-income family and is the first person in her mother’s family to attend and graduate from high school and college.  This experience connects her strongly to the mission of SEA, as does her support for the local community college system as a pathway to college.  She has been active in the community as a political volunteer and fundraiser (including lobbying for paid family leave), as a parenting support group leader and a volunteer safety inspector for child car seats. She has a certificate in Non-profit Management from the University of Washington. 

Bill Wells is the Program Manager at the Digital Bridge Technology Academy, King County Work Training Program. Bill co-founded the Digital Bridge program in 2002, an innovative and comprehensive four month technology training and employment program that is a highly successful model for re-engaging “at-risk” out-of-school youth in our community. Bill has a BA in Asian Studies/Management of Information Systems from Washington State University, and a BS in Secondary Education from Ball State University.

KEY VOLUNTEERS: 

Jennifer Wooten is the Coordinator of our Book Access Program. Jennifer graduated from University of Washington in 2001 with a B.A. and graduated from Florida State University in 2007 with a M.A. in Information Studies. She has been working for the King County Library System for over 6 years, and in 2007 started her position as the Teen Librarian at the Newport Way Library.  Jennifer has and continues to volunteer for several organizations and also loves to bike (mountain biking and road biking), play ice hockey, and ride motorcycles.

Glen Hubbard is our Technology Coordinator. Now retired from IBM, Glen worked in computer science for decades and still does freelance work from time to time. He helps us refurbish used computers so we can give them to our scholarship students, so they can do their homework at home. He also keeps our office computers in good shape.
