Allison Lord is our Development Director – Allison brings more then 11 years of experience developing, directing and managing comprehensive marketing programs. Allison graduated from Washington State University with a bachelor of Communications in Public Relations. Before joining SEA, she was the Marketing Programs Manager at Attenex Corp., a developer of legal document review software. She has also been responsible for marketing programs at Microsoft, Appian Graphics and WRQ, Inc. She has been a volunteer at the University Family YMCA Homeless Youth Program for over four years and so has developed a special rapport with the youth we aim to serve.
Anthon Smith is our Executive Director Elect. He has over thirteen years of
nonprofit experience, including seven years of international
nonprofit work. Anthon graduated with a bachelor's degree in both
Sociology and Comparative Religions from the University of Malta, and
is presently
completing a Masters of Nonprofit Leadership at Seattle University. He
is passionate about community based living and supporting alternative lifestyles; he is
especially dedicated to marginalized populations.
Polly Trout, Ph.D., is the founder and Advocacy & Outreach Director. Polly has a B.A. from The Evergreen State
College, an M.T.S. from Harvard Divinity School, and a Ph.D. in
Religious Studies from Boston University. She lectured in Religious
Studies for three years at San Diego State University, and is the
author of Eastern Seeds, Western Soil: Three Gurus in America. In addition to her work with SEA, Polly is an educator, activist, writer, and mother.
Shikita Trahan, MA.Ed, is our Program Manager. Shikita has over thirteen years of nonprofit experience assisting and supporting youth and young adults throughout the city of Seattle and specializes in resources to support marginalized and homeless youth. She has a BA in History and a BA Comparative Ethnic Studies from WSU, and a MA in Education from Antioch University. Shikita supervises our volunteers and provides direct service to our students.
Brenda Keomany is our bookkeeper.
