SEA is a grassroots organization with a small staff, and we rely on our volunteers. For a list of current volunteer opportunities, contact Anthon Smith at anthon@seattleeducationaccess.org.

Due to the small size of our organization and our individualized approach to student services, our greatest need is for flexible volunteers who can help out on specific, short term projects.

Our greatest need from volunteers is tutoring!  We match volunteer tutor/mentors with students who need tutoring in a specific subject.  Most tutors meet with their student once a week for about an hour.

Additionally, we need volunteers willing to help raise money for our scholarship fund! Here are some ways that you can help:

        - Organize a Fundraising Drive at your workplace.

        - Host a Fundraising Party in your home.

        - Ask friends and relatives to donate to SEA in lieu of a             gift for your graduation, birthday, or wedding.

        - Encourage your friends and colleagues to visit our                 website and sign up for our newsletter.

To help with fundraising, please contact: Allison Lord at allison@seattleeducationaccess.org.

Examples of other volunteer tasks include: helping a student move, look for housing, envelope stuffing, helping set up and clean up for a special event; photography for our newsletter, or organizing book drives. If you would like to join our volunteer pool and receive invitations to volunteer for one time projects, please contact our office.

We also need committed people to serve on our Board of Directors and our Scholarship Review Committee.
